Let's Dance! Concert at St Thomas Church Aslockton 21st June 2014 I
thought I must email you about the pleasant
summer's evening spent at My
favourite piece of the evening was the one that
was created by a musician within
the orchestra, Christina Snowdin. I found the
piece so beautifully evocative of the natural
landscape, water and countryside. How amazingly
talented this woman must be to have the ability
not only to play an instrument so skilfully but
to also write
music for a whole score of other instruments is
beyond me. I thought the piece was beautiful. Thank
you for arranging the Boots Orchestra to visit
Aslockton. It was a very successful venture and
I do hope that they visit Charles and I would like to thank you and to say how much we enjoyed the concert, "Let's Dance" on
Saturday evening. For us the whole event was |

I particularly enjoyed the 2nd half, eg Sibelius and Bizet. There were some lovely sections of string and wind ensemble playing respectively. And it's always good to hear Christopher Irvin's pieces because they are tuneful. |
